Brewery & Distillery Flooring Supply in Tulsa, OK

Oklahoma’s craft brewing and distilling sector has grown significantly over the last decade. Tulsa alone hosts more than 15 craft breweries, with new taproom and production facilities continuing to open across the metro area. Every one of these facilities shares a common challenge: floors that must handle the harshest combination of chemical, thermal, and mechanical stress found in any food-grade environment.

Resinous Flooring Supply supplies professional-grade epoxy, quartz broadcast, and polyaspartic flooring systems to flooring contractors and experienced applicators serving breweries, distilleries, taprooms, and beverage production facilities throughout Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma.

We are a supplier, not an installer.

Resinous Flooring Supply provides flooring systems, surface prep products, and technical guidance. All installations are carried out by professional applicators. To find a certified installer for your project, call us at 918-528-4135.

Why Brewery and Distillery Floors Are a Specialist Application

Production floors in brewing and distilling operations face a combination of stresses that disqualify most standard commercial flooring or industrial flooring coatings:

  • Organic acids from fermentation, wort spills, and hop residue attack standard epoxy formulations progressively
  • Caustic clean-in-place (CIP) chemicals and sanitisers require maximum chemical resistance across the entire floor surface
  • Hot water discharge and steam from brewing kettles and distilling columns create thermal shock that cracks and delaminate rigid coatings
  • Heavy keg and barrel rolling, forklift traffic, and grain bag impact require high film build and impact resistance
  • Constant wet conditions from production and washdown cycles create persistent slip hazards
  • Seamless, hygienic surfaces are required to prevent bacterial and yeast contamination between batches

Zone-by-Zone Specification for Brewery and Distillery Facilities

A brewery or distillery has several distinct zones. Specifying each zone correctly is more cost-effective than applying a single heavy-duty system throughout.

Production Floor, Brewhouse, and Fermentation Areas

These are the most demanding zones in any facility. Precise Quartz is our primary specification for production floors. The seamless quartz broadcast system resists organic acids, caustic cleaning agents, and provides an anti-slip profile appropriate for wet production conditions. It shares the same specification logic as our commercial kitchen flooring systems, where USDA compliance and chemical resistance are non-negotiable. Drain integration and slope-to-drain details are critical in brewhouse areas and should be mapped with your applicator before installation begins.

Packaging, Bottling, and Canning Lines

Packaging areas have slightly lower chemical exposure than production floors but see heavy forklift and pallet jack traffic, glass breakage risk, and spillage from filling operations. Precise Flake with a chemical-resistant polyaspartic topcoat is appropriate for most packaging and bottling line floors. For facilities with adjacent warehouse or storage areas, the same Precise Flake specification provides a consistent floor across the production and logistics zones.

Taproom and Customer-Facing Areas

Taprooms are the commercial face of the brewery and require a floor that is as visually striking as it is durable. Precise Radiance delivers a high-gloss metallic finish that complements exposed brick, industrial fittings, and stainless steel brewing equipment. Precise Flake in custom colour combinations is a popular alternative for a more casual taproom aesthetic. Both systems use a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat that maintains colour and gloss over years of daily use. Taproom floors that extend into a retail merchandise area can use Edgemore Metro or Edgemore Loft for a complementary decorative finish in the shop zone.

Cold Storage and Lagering Areas

Cold storage, lagering cellars, and refrigerated areas require cold-cure epoxy formulations capable of achieving full cure at low temperatures. Standard epoxy systems require substrate temperatures above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. We stock cold-cure formulations appropriate for refrigerated storage environments. Contact us at 918-528-4135 with your facility’s temperature range and we will specify the appropriate system and primer.

Grain Storage and Dry Goods Areas

Grain storage and dry ingredient areas have lower chemical exposure but significant dust and abrasion from grain bag handling. Precise Chroma or Precise Flake are appropriate for these zones. A sealed, smooth surface makes cleaning significantly faster than bare concrete. For larger dry goods storage requirements that overlap with warehouse flooring needs, the specification can be extended consistently across both areas.

Restrooms and Staff Wet Areas

Staff restrooms, locker rooms, and wet areas within brewery facilities require the same seamless, hygienic, slip-resistant specification as any commercial wet area. Precise Quartz with a coved base detail is the appropriate specification. The same system principles behind our locker room and wet area flooring apply here, with anti-slip aggregate broadcast profiles specified for each wet zone.

USDA and FDA Compliance for Beverage Production Floors

Precise Quartz can be supplied with product data sheets supporting USDA acceptance for incidental food contact and FDA requirements for beverage production environments. This is the same compliance documentation used in our commercial kitchen flooring specifications for health department approvals. We provide all required documentation to support your facility’s compliance submissions. Contact us at 918-528-4135 to discuss your specific compliance requirements before specifying your system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Precise Quartz is our primary recommendation for brewery production floors. It provides the chemical resistance required for organic acid, caustic CIP, and sanitiser exposure, a seamless hygienic surface with no joints for bacterial harbouring, and an anti-slip profile appropriate for wet production conditions. Contact us to discuss topcoat selection for your specific thermal range and cleaning programme.

Yes. Precise Quartz can be supplied with product data sheets supporting USDA acceptance for incidental food contact. We provide all documentation required for health department approvals and facility compliance submissions. Call us at 918-528-4135 to discuss your compliance requirements.

Taprooms need a floor that is visually striking, durable under high foot traffic and beer spills, and easy to maintain. Precise Radiance with a metallic finish is our most popular taproom specification. Precise Flake in custom colour combinations is also widely used. Both use a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat that maintains appearance under ongoing use and cleaning.

Standard 100% solids epoxy systems have a maximum continuous service temperature of approximately 140 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Where production processes generate sustained temperatures above this range, additional topcoat specification is required. Contact us with your facility's maximum temperature exposure and we will advise on the appropriate system.

We supply to both. For brewery production floors, we recommend working with a certified professional applicator given the complexity of drain integration, slope detailing, and chemical-resistant topcoat application. Visit rfsflooringsupply.com/applicator or call 918-528-4135 to find an installer.
